Zamir Vasquez
Zamir Vasquez was
in the first graduating class of The East Harlem School. After
graduating in 1996, Zamir attended Miss Hall’s
School, a college preparatory boarding school for girls
in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Zamir then went on to Wells
College in Aurora, New York, and she is now one of
the first East Harlem School alumni to graduate from college.
Zamir earned a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Psychology. Ivan Hageman traveled to Wells
College to share Zamir’s graduation with her friends and
family (pictured right with Zamir.)
Because of her academic
achievements throughout college and high school, The East Harlem
School awarded Zamir with a scholarship from the Grossman
Scholarship Fund, named after trustees Neil and Mindy
Grossman, to assist her in her job search and career exploration.
