Poetry Flags

Adorning the stage at this year's Slam were Poetry Flags created by each of our finalists. Inspired by traditional prayer flags, each young poet reflected on their poem and then transformed it into a work of art by incorporating text from their poems into drawings, patterns, and colors that represented the poem as a whole. Our finalists' poems will be featured in The East Harlem School's annual literary arts magazine, INK. Sponsors will receive a copy of INK where you will be acknowledged with your name listed prominently as the poem's sponsor.
