Barneys New York 2011 Holiday Collaboration

EHS is excited to annouce our continued collaboration with Barneys New York in decorating the Manhattan store's seasonal display. This year, twenty-three of our students were selected to paint portraits of Lady Gaga as part of the "Gaga's Workshop" collaboration between Barneys New York and Lady Gaga to support anti-bullying initiatives. These masterpieces are on display from December 1, 2011 through January 2, 2012, and are available for purchase to support the school! Aerospace Fight 4 Fitness 2011

On May 12, 2011, friends of AEROSPACE and EHS came together for a spectacular jumprope and focus mitt championship was at the Aerospace High Performance Center, benefitting The East Harlem School. The event was hosted by Michael Olajide, Jr., former professional middle-weight boxer and Leila Fazel, former professional ballerina, long time friends of The East Harlem School, and boosted a celebrity judges panel.

This year, twenty-two of our students were selected to paint portraits of their favorite chef as part of the "Have a Foodie Holiday!" themed displays. These masterpieces are on display from November 12, 2010 through January 3, 2011, and are available for purchase to support the school! Barneys Holiday Display Windows 2009

The East Harlem School and Barneys New York collaborated once again for the Manhattan store's seasonal window display. Works of art by 16 EHS students depicting the theme "Have a Witty Holiday!" were on display from November through January, 2009.

Aerospace Fight 4 Fitness 2009

On May 13, 2009, a star-studded focus mitt championship was held at Aerospace High Performance Center to benefit The East Harlem School. The event was hosted by Michael Olajide, former professional middle-weight boxer and a long time friend of The East Harlem School, and boosted a celebrity judges panel which included Hugh Jackman, Q-Tip, and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Star Jones Appears On Fox's "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" to support The East Harlem School

Star Jones appeared on Season 3 of Fox's "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" where she flexed her brain muscles and won $25,000 to benefit The East Harlem School.
