"The
Slam is what we do"
-Ivan
Hageman, EHS Head of School
This
extraordinary student competition and school fundraiser is an
integral and beloved component of the East Harlem School's vibrant
culture. On Thursday, May 10th, thirty of The
East Harlem School's most talented and promising young poets,
between the ages of 9 and 14, will take center stage at B.B.
King Blues Club & Grill to perform their original
poetry in front of more than 400 audience members. It promises
to be an incredibly moving and successful night, and we hope
you will join us for this special evening!
Poetry
flags from the 2011 Spring Poetry Slam are still available!
