Thank you for your interest in applying to The East Harlem School (EHS). We are accepting students entering the 4th-7th grades for the current and upcoming school years.

Please take a moment to fill out the application through our online self-service application process. Please take note of the list of required supporting documents at the end of this form. These documents must be submitted to Ms. Pizarro via email at bpizarro@eastharlemschool.org, or by uploading them directly on this webpage. You may also drop them off in person at the school's front desk. More details are provided at the end of this form. 

If you need help submitting your child's application or supporting documents, please make an appointment to come to the school, where Ms. Pizarro will be able to help.

Once all of your required materials have been submitted, you may proceed to schedule an Admissions Visit for your student.

Open Houses and Admissions Days 

Please make sure that you contact bpizarro@eastharlemschool.org or call 212-876-8775 to attend an Admissions Open House and to schedule an Admissions Day visit (tour and interview) for your prospective student. 

Supporting Documents

In order to be considered for the final step in the admissions process, the following materials must be submitted in a timely manner, after your child's Admissions Day visit.

You may:

  • Upload the files here on the website. 
  • Bring physical photocopies to EHS.
  • Email copies to Ms. Pizarro at bpizarro@eastharlemschool.org.
  • Please note that the Teacher Recommendation Form is now optional. If applicable, it should be submitted directly by your student's teacher via email to bpizarro@eastharlemschool.org. Families may also submit the recommendation in a sealed and signed envelope. 

Any applications submitted during the summer will not be required to submit a teacher recommendation form.
