The Admissions Process for The East Harlem School is as follows:
- Attend an Open House
- Fill out an Application
- Submit Supporting Documents
- Teacher Recommendation Form
- Report cards from the past two years
- A copy of your child's IEP (if relevant)
- A copy of your child's Social Security Card
- A copy of your child's most recent physical form
- Proof of Income (your most recent tax return, if possible)
- Schedule a day-visit for your child
- Wait for a phone call from EHS to schedule an interview for you and your child with Ivan Hageman, Head of School (Note: some students are not invited for interviews and will receive this news by mail)
- An admissions decision is communicated by mail
Please note, the length of this process varies greatly, often because families do not submit all of their supporting documents in a timely manner. No decision can be made about a child until all documents are submitted.
